Islamic Republic of Pakistan is located in South-Asia. The name Pakistan means "land of the pure". To its north-east is the China, and to east is India, while towards west is Afghanistan and Iran. To its south is the Arabian sea and the Gulf of Oman. It is a center point in the most important regions of South Asia, Central Asia and Middle East.
Pakistan covers an area of 796,095 square km, approximately equivalent to the land of France and United Kingdom together. It has 1046 km coastline with the Arabian sea. Its border running with Afghanistan is 2430 km, 523 km with China, 2912 km with India and 909 km with Iran.
Pakistan is comprised of four provinces namely, Punjab, Pukhtonistan, Balochistan and Sindh. Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan. Urdu is the national language, besides Urdu, other languages spoken are Pashtoo, Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, Serayiki, and many other.
